Vicente López: Decomisaron productos de fauna silvestre

La Brigada de Control Ambiental (BCA) decomisó trofeos de caza mayor como piezas de osos, antílopes, ciervos, león y búfalo africano, presentados en taxidermia y en hueso, durante un operativo contra el comercio ilegal de fauna silvestre en el partido bonaerense de Vicente López, informó  el Ministerio de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sostenible.

El material encontrado  incluyó piezas de osos, antílopes, ciervos, león y búfalo africano, cebras, monos, yacaré, cocodrilos, puma y panteras, entre otros.

De la actividad participó el director de Inspecciones de la Subsecretaría de Fiscalización y Recomposición, Alejandro Mackielo, según un comunicado de Ambiente.

El domicilio fiscalizado corresponde a una empresa con oficinas donde estaban expuestas todas las piezas secuestradas.

En el operativo, que se realizó junto al municipio de Vicente López y la Dirección de Prevención Ecológica y Sustancias Peligrosas de la provincia de Buenos Aires, fue identificado el apoderado de la firma y se tomó constancia que no poseía la documentación para contar con esas piezas.

Además, se trata de fauna autóctona cuya caza está prohibida por Ley 22.421 de Conservación de la Fauna.

Lanzada en el año 2020, la BCA es una iniciativa para ampliar las facultades del cuerpo de inspectores de la Secretaría de Control y Monitoreo Ambiental de la cartera de Ambiente.

Entre sus funciones, está la lucha contra el tráfico ilegal de fauna, para lo que realiza diferentes operativos de fiscalización y allanamiento a establecimientos y criaderos clandestinos.
