Detienen a 40 personas acusadas de integrar una banda que cometía ciberestafas
Fuentes judiciales informaron a Télam que las detenciones se concretaron durante unos 70 operativos en simultáneo, en el marco de una investigación que se inició el año pasado a partir de una gran cantidad de estafas denunciadas.
De acuerdo a los voceros, estos damnificados denunciaron que le sustraían sus datos personales para realizar operaciones bancarias no autorizadas y falsificación de tarjetas de crédito.
“También se realizaban simulaciones de ventas de productos en redes sociales, sustracción mediante engaños de cuentas de Whatsapp y minado ilegal de criptomonedas“, indicó en un comunicado el Ministerio Público Fiscal (MPF) de la provincia de Buenos Aires.
Ante esa situación, intervino el Departamento de Ciberdelitos de la Secretaría Política Criminal de la Procuración bonaerense junto a la Superintendencia de Investigaciones en Función Judicial de la policía provincial.
Según las fuentes, en todos los casos se llevaron a cabo investigaciones en entornos digitales con herramientas de alta tecnología, que permitieron la identificación de los imputados, lográndose establecer los domicilios relacionados con los autores de los hechos.
Como resultado de estos procedimientos simultáneos se secuestraron más de un centenar de teléfonos celulares, tarjetas de memoria, pendrives, impresoras, DNI falsos, más de un centenar de tarjetas SIM, tarjetas de crédito y débito, cajas fuertes, automóviles y armas de fuego.
A su vez, las fuentes aclararon que cuatro de los objetivos se encontraban en las Unidades Penitenciarias de Baradero, Olmos, Sierra Chica y Mercedes.
“Allí se secuestraron dispositivos tecnológicos no autorizados, que utilizaban los internos para cometer las ciberestafas, donde funcionaban células criminales denominadas ‘call center’, refriéndose a detenidos que operan desde el interior de los penales con teléfonos celulares y computadoras con acceso a Internet”, agregaron desde el MPF bonaerense.
Por otro lado, durante los operativos, las autoridades judiciales descubrieron una granja clandestina de minado de criptomonedas ubicada en la localidad bonaerense de Quilmes, la cual estaba montada con cables eléctricos robados y consumo ilegal de energía eléctrica.
Además, en un allanamiento en la localidad de San Martín, en el noroeste del conurbano, se halló un laboratorio ilegal donde se falsificaban documentos de identidad, tarjetas de crédito y tarjetas Naranja.
Intervinieron en la investigación 14 fiscales pertenecientes a 13 Departamentos Judiciales de la provincia.
