La ANMAT prohibió un té verde por inconvenientes en su registro sanitario

La Administración Nacional de Medicamentos, Alimentos y Tecnología Médica prohibió  a través de su publicación en el Boletín Oficial, la comercialización de un té verde por inconvenientes en su registro sanitario.

La Disposición 4356/2022 establece la prohibición de la elaboración, fraccionamiento y comercialización en todo el territorio nacional y en plataformas de venta electrónica del producto: “Té Verde Matcha Micronizado, Antioxidante – Reductor – Relajante”, Producto de Misiones, RENSPA N° 12008.0.00040/00, por carecer de registros sanitarios, resultando ser un producto ilegal.

En su considerando explica que las actuaciones se iniciaron ante la consulta de un particular sobre el producto el cual no cumpliría con la normativa alimentaria vigente.

Ante ello, el Departamento Vigilancia Sanitaria y Nutricional de los Alimentos del Instituto Nacional de Alimentos realizó la Consulta Federal a la División de Alimentos, Agua y Laboratorio de la Provincia de Misiones, a los fines de verificar si el producto se encontraba autorizado, la que informó que el registro consultado era inexistente en esa jurisdicción.

Además, y teniendo en cuenta que el Registro Nacional Sanitario de Productores Agropecuarios es un registro otorgado por el Servicio Nacional de Sanidad y Calidad Agroalimentaria (SENASA), realizó la Consulta Federal para que informe sobre el producto mencionado, quien respondió que según lo establecido en el Decreto 815/99, el producto no se encuentra bajo la incumbencia del servicio.

Se definió que el producto se halla en infracción por carecer de registros sanitarios, resultando ser en consecuencia ilegal y que por tratarse de un producto que no puede ser identificado en forma fehaciente y clara como producido, elaborado y/o fraccionado en un establecimiento determinado, no podrá ser elaborado en ninguna parte del país, ni comercializado ni expendido en el territorio de la República.

Finalmente y a fin de proteger la salud de los ciudadanos ante el consumo de productos ilegales, el Departamento de Rectoría en Normativa Alimentaria del INAL recomienda prohibir la elaboración, fraccionamiento y comercialización en todo el territorio nacional del citado alimento en cualquier presentación y fecha de vencimiento.
