Ituzaingó: Cafiero y Descalzo entregaron mapas bicontinentales a escuelas
El Intendente de Ituzaingpo, Alberto Descalzo junto al Canciller Santiago Cafiero; el Secretario de Malvinas, Antártida y Atlántico Sur, Guillermo Carmona , el Jefe de Gabinete, Pablo Descalzo, y el Presidente del Concejo Deliberante, Pablo Piana, realizaron la entrega de 80 mapas bicontinentales a escuelas e instituciones educativas del distrito. La actividad se realizó en el marco de la Ley 26.651, que establece el uso del mapa bicontinental obligatorio en todos los niveles y modalidades del sistema educativo.
Los mapas fueron confeccionados por el Instituto Geográfico Nacional, y muestran la Antártida Argentina en su real proporción con relación al sector continental e insular, establecido por la Ley 26.651, sancionada el 20 de octubre de 2010 y promulgada el 15 de noviembre de 2010, que indica su uso obligatorio.
En este contexto, Cafiero expresó su agradecimiento a los veteranos de la guerra de Malvinas que presenciaron la ceremonia: “Es muy importante el acompañamiento en el día de hoy del Centro de Veteranos de Ituzaingó, porque Malvinas está estrechamente relacionado con la defensa de la soberanía nacional, y este mapa lo que busca es ser un disparador para el debate en las aulas, en los establecimientos públicos del conocimiento sobre nuestro territorio nacional.”
Mientras que Guillermo Carmona destacó el pedido que hizo el centro de veteranos local, a través de su presidente Oscar Vazquez, para que Ituzaingó fuera el primer distrito en donde se realice la entrega de los mapas bicontinentales. En esta oportunidad fueron alrededor de 80 establecimientos educativos los que se llevaron el mapa para ser exhibido en las instituciones.
Por su parte, Alberto Descalzo hizo mención a la reivindicación de la soberanía gracias a esta política pública: “Como gobierno tenemos una enorme responsabilidad para mantener viva la memoria de nuestra lucha por Malvinas a las próximas generaciones. Por eso es importante este mapa, porque nos muestra nuestro territorio en su real proporción. Para que los chicos defienden nuestra soberanía hay que tener noción de nuestra historia.”
