Más voces se alzan contra la propuesta libertaria del cierre del CONICET
El Consejo Directivo Facultad de Ingeniería de la UNLP adhirió al comunicado emitido por el Instituto de Investigaciones en Electrónica, Control y Procesamiento de Señales (LEICI). El órgano de gobierno de la Facultad expresó su preocupación por la política de disolución del CONICET, del Ministerio de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación (MINCyT) y desinversión en ciencia, técnica y educación por parte del Estado Nacional que propone llevar adelante un candidato a Presidente de la Nación.
“La bien sabida correlación entre nivel de desarrollo de los países e inversión en ciencia y tecnología permite suponer que la política de desinversión propuesta no favorecerá que nuestro país transite el camino del desarrollo tecnológico. Ante las críticas a su productividad, se destaca que el CONICET está posicionado entre el 1% de las instituciones gubernamentales de ciencia y técnica del mundo con mayor volumen, impacto y prestigio de su producción científica”, expresa la resolución del LEICI.
La declaración agrega: “este Consejo Directivo repudia las expresiones descalificadoras sobre el rol de los científicos en nuestra sociedad vertidas por este mismo candidato a Presidente de la Nación a través de un medio audiovisual de gran difusión pública. La descalificación es el peor argumento para la defensa de ideas y atenta contra la solución a los problemas. Por lo tanto, aspiramos a que sea completamente dejada de lado en el debate sobre el estado actual y el futuro de la ciencia y la tecnología”.
Por último, desde el LEICI se invitó “a todos los candidatos a Presidente de la Nación a exponer y debatir sus propuestas en ciencia y tecnología. Abogamos por que el presupuesto en el área se incremente progresivamente durante los cuatro años del próximo gobierno tal como lo establece la Ley Nª 27.614 de Financiamiento del Sistema Nacional de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación. Cabe destacar que esta Ley fue sancionada en 2021 por amplia mayoría en la Cámara de Diputados de la Nación (sólo 2 abstenciones) y por unanimidad en la Cámara de Senadores de la Nación.”
El órgano de gobierno de la Facultad también adhirió a las expresiones de repudio por las descalificaciones y amedrentamientos, vertidos por el mismo candidato y algunos de sus seguidores hacia científicos y docentes. Entendiendo que “estas expresiones son propias de tiempos que parecían haber quedado en el pasado y no facilitan a construir una patria con soberanía, inclusión e igualdad”.
