La gripe aviar llegó a la provincia de Buenos Aires
La municipalidad del partido bonaerense de Villarino informó que se detectó un caso positivo de influenza aviar, luego de haber recibido una notificación del Ministerio de Salud de la provincia y del Servicio Nacional de Sanidad y Calidad Agroalimentaria (Senasa).
“En las últimas horas, se recibió una notificación de la presencia de un caso positivo de gripe aviar en la zona circundante a la Laguna La Salada”, señaló la comuna en un comunicado.
En ese contexto indicó que se puso “con los equipos de salud en alerta para identificar y realizar el seguimiento de las personas que han estado en contacto con las aves en cuestión”.
Por su parte Jorgelina Scuffi del área de Epidemiología de la Región Sanitaria Primera con asiento en Bahía Blanca dijo a Télam que “tras comunicarnos del Senasa sobre la existencia de un ave de traspatio positiva en una granja cercana a La Salada, en Pedro Luro, localizamos a las personas que pudieran haber estado en contacto para hacer el seguimiento y constatar que no presentan ninguna sintomatología”.
“Se trata de tres personas, del mismo grupo familiar que se encuentran bien, no presentan ningún signo de haberse contagiado y estarán con seguimiento por diez días”, agregó Scuffi.
En tanto que el Senasa confirmó en las últimas horas tres nuevos casos positivos de influenza aviar (IA) H5 de aves de traspatio, dos en la provincia de Buenos Aires (General Madariaga y Pedro Luro) y uno en Neuquén (Las Lajas) con lo que suman 58 las detecciones de la enfermedad en total hasta el momento en todo el país.
De esta manera y según se indicó, de las más de 300 notificaciones analizadas por el Laboratorio del Senasa, a la fecha son 58 los casos confirmados en aves de traspatio (48), silvestres (cuatro) y sector comercial (seis) distribuidos de la siguiente manera: 18 en Córdoba, 15 en Buenos Aires, siete en Neuquén, seis en Santa Fe, cuatro en Río Negro, dos en San Luis, dos en Chaco, uno en Jujuy, uno en Santiago del Estero, uno en Salta y uno en La Pampa.
Desde el Senada aclararon que la gripe aviar “no se transmite de persona a persona” y, por lo tanto, “no tiene hasta el momento un potencial pandémico”.
Así lo aseguró Ximena Melón, directora nacional de Sanidad Animal del organismo, en declaraciones a Télam, al detallar que “la influenza aviar es una zoonosis, y por definición se transmite a los humanos, pero la forma en que lo hace es bastante esporádica o de rara transmisión“.
