La ANMAT prohibió un producto que se vende en Facebook como “cura” para el COVID-19
La Administración Nacional de Medicamentos, Alimentos y Tecnología Médica (ANMAT) prohibió este lunes un producto con supuestas propiedades terapéuticas para tratar el coronavirus, según se publicita en la red social Facebook.
Esta nueva advertencia del organismo se sumó a otras reiteradas durante la pandemia a raíz de la alta demanda de ciertos productos, como alcohol en gel, algunos de los cuales no estaban autorizados para su comercialización.
A través de la Disposición 5570/2020 del Boletín Oficial, la ANMAT alertó sobre un producto que se ofrece para la “prevención y tratamiento del Covid-19”, rotulado como:
- “Plata Coloidal Argenyl”, que prohibió para uso, comercialización y distribución en toda la Argentina.
El artículo se ofrece en Facebook, con supuestas propiedades terapéuticas como “antibacteriano, antivírico, antibacteriano de amplio espectro, antimicótico”, para “uso externo e interno” y como profiláctico y tratamiento contra el coronavirus, destaca la ANMAT.
Además, en esa red social, la empresa afirma que tiene más 80 años de antigüedad y que el producto cuenta con la aprobación de la ANMAT. Sin embargo, la Administración alertó que no existe en sus registros el producto “Argenol”.
Toda vez que declara datos no veraces en su rotulado, se desconoce su efectivo origen y su formulación, por lo cual no puede garantizarse su calidad, seguridad y eficacia, situación que resulta en un riesgo para la salud de la población, máxime teniendo en cuenta el contexto actual de pandemia en el que nos encontramos”, afirma el organismo
